As the airline slots in the EU / use it or lose it rule / Coronavirus thing rumbles on, I tried to find what the European Commission has said - this (at the bottom) is all I can find: ec.europa.eu/info/live-work…
There's nothing detailed or recent I can find from twitter.com/AdinaValean or twitter.com/Transport_EU or on the Commission's press service. Nothing on DG MOVE site: ec.europa.eu/transport/home…
As the outbreak has a major impact on aviation (so much that even Grant Shapps has jumped on the issue of airline slots), I think the Commission could surely explain a little bit more here?

The crucial points: there are limits on testing capacity, *and* it’s a number of days after an infection before you test positive
Which leads me to this conclusion: because Nadine Dorries has tested positive, and she’s met dozens of people (and many MPs) in the last week, MPs cramming into the chamber today is clearly against NHS advice

STOP BEING SO SENSIBLE

We have enough evidence now to know that the UK is *not* negotiating towards the best possible economic outcome
I *know* it's hard to think a partner to a trade negotiation is approaching things that way

I *know* it is mad to not give a damn about the economic wellbeing of your people

But that is where we are
That's not to say that, at the margin, economic concerns will not come into it

But were the logistics / ports / freight industries to get the waiver Dmitry suggests, then the farmers seek the same. So do the tech firms. The banks. And you end up with a soft-ish Brexit

EU Commission partly withdraws trade preferences for Cambodia due to human rights concerns:

1/2 Withdrawing EU trade preferences from Cambodia is on the basis of a law concerning trade preferences for developing countries, which won't apply to the UK. If the UK and EU have no FTA, there will be no preferences to withdraw.
2/2 If UK/EU have an FTA, withdrawal of trade preferences will be on grounds set out in the FTA, subject to its dispute settlement. It's too early to know details, although the proposed EU negotiating mandate refers more specifically to human rights in the *security* context.
