Seems clear that 10 minutes within 6 feet of a person with the virus in a treatment setting can be enough exposure to contract it. From what I have been able to glean from the reports, people who were at CPAC may have had had a sufficient degree of exposure to be infected.
So isolating ill patients from other household members is key to limiting household transmission. Perhaps having the patient mask when care givers are close. Also would like to know how ventilation can assist in limiting the spread.

I was a big LBJ fan in my early teens. The Great Society. The Vietnam War ruined it all. Only the Civil Rights Acts survived. I have a budget calculator and I think just rational top-earner tax rates can do it all. I'm not sure I'd change the corporate rates.
My preference would be to force the cash out of corporations via retained earnings limitations and taxing the dividends as shareholder regular income. Encourage corporations to borrow. Makes a healthy banking sector and we can wean them off of the stock market casino.

Like Bernie is somehow disconnected from the results. Not his fault. It's not the young voters fault, let me guess? His loss is the Billionaire Class' fault?

1. Pundits often note approvingly that blacks and/or Latinos do not vote as a monolith. The Irish 🍀 figured out early that the machine (aka monolith) could move us from among the huddled masses to elected mayor in a few generations. Of course, being white made it all possible.
2. @TheDemocrats surrendered the #DeepSouth in exchange for Lyndon Johnson's Civil Rights Acts that began to make penance for America's original sin. The current black electorate is our investment in justice paying returns. @WhipClyburn
3. I applaud a black monolith backing an Irishman all committed to the common goals of justice and equality. I have nothing but optimism and hope for our future. We were faced with the challenge that could end the Republic and we are holding our ground. @TimOBrien @Mike2020

As with much else about this infection, we do not know a lot about risk, but we have some info and it is worth keeping in mind.

Time & proximity are important parameters in exposure. 10 minutes in close proximity to a known infected patient may be very different from being in a room for 1 hour or mixing in the hallways for several at a conference. The latter is not without risk, but it is very low. 3/x

This study traced people who’d come into contact with 10 symptomatic early travel-related cases in US. Overall 445 close contacts were identified, and only 2 got infected (i.e. secondary attack rate, SAR = 2/445=0.45%). But this scenario isn’t reflective of an ongoing outbreak 2/
If that contact tracing detected all infections, it implies 10 primary cases generated 2 new infections between them. So the reproduction number R=0.2. But we know in many areas that have outbreaks, R is 2-3 3/. cmmid.github.io/topics/covid19…

Americans should begin social distancing (no handshaking, eliminate non-essential travel and meetings). The reason is not so much to get practice or to reduce personal risk, as to reduce the intensity of the COVID-19 epidemic and spare health care system. 1/
If we reduce the spread, even if we ultimately have the same total number of cases, we 'flatten the curve,' which means that, at any given time, our health care system can cope with the COVID-19 cases, hopefully. 2/

With community transmission of #COVID19 in multiple countries it appears that containment of the virus in China will not happen (this outcome was not unexpected). Emphasis in many places could turn from containment to “mitigation”. What does mitigation mean?
First, to be clear: it’s not either/or, because containment efforts and mitigation efforts encompass a spectrum of activities, are complementary and can occur at the same time.
Still, we can contrast their goals: containment is meant to halt transmission, while mitigation is meant to reduce negative impacts of transmission.
