Sanders' supporters have some good policy ideas. Those humble + hardworking enough to get involved in their local Dem organizations have made the party better. If they'd only rallied behind an actual Democrat for the Democratic nomination, we'd have a progressive nominee.

I mean, I'M a Progressive. I WANT universal healthcare. I WANT America to lead a radical transformation of the world economy to combat climate change. I WANT to "eat" the uber-rich so everyone can have a share of the American dream.

But Duverger's Law explains that we'll ALWAYS revert to two major parties. Right now, the Democratic Party is the ONLY vehicle by which we can accomplish meaningful change against the tide of American fascism.

I don't like that. But being a grown-up means accepting reality.

In four years, we'll have another chance to work WITHIN the Democratic Party to have a Progressive DEMOCRAT be the party's nominee, and then elect a Progressive Democrat as president.

But it has to be a DEMOCRAT.

And right now, the Democratic nominee is gonna be Biden.

Just: support a progressive DEMOCRAT. Then we can win.

And THIS year? Take the L, and start working for the incremental – but nevertheless HUGE – improvements that Biden can accomplish if we elect him.
