NEW: At least 3 environmental nonprofits have cut ties with Pittsburgh-based Colcom Foundation, after discovering the large donations the foundation gives to anti-immigrant groups.

News comes on heels of efforts to expose Colcom’s “greenwashing” tactics. pghcitypaper.com/pittsburgh/how…
.@americanrivers & @GASPPgh & @EHPinfo cut ties with Colcom last year and won’t seek funding from them moving forward.

Advocates have launched a campaign to expose Colcom’s white nationalism roots & anti-immigrant donations. Colcom nearly doubled anti-immigrant donations in 2017, first year of Trump admin. Colcom’s biggest benefactors have heavily influenced Stephen Miller pghcitypaper.com/pittsburgh/how…

.@HMAesq has done research on Colcom, May and John Tanton, who had a hand in creating most of the anti-immigrant orgs Colcom funds. He said “It is safe to say that without [May’s] money, the anti-immigration movement and the Tanton network would not exist” pghcitypaper.com/pittsburgh/how…
UPDATE: @PhippsNews informed CP that it "neither requested nor received funding in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from Colcom." Last funding received was in 2018 (fiscal year ending 6/19). Phipps didn't specify why. Updated list of funders at end of story ⬇️ pghcitypaper.com/pittsburgh/imm…
