it's important that right now the media get a grip. The shock, anger and fear that Trump is not up to the job is palpable Do you look to the WH for leadership 'because we have to'?
Media has to do its own mitigation or they will unwittingly pass bad info because it's from the WH

I have more hope that media will get and understand this than i do Fox News in particular or Rs in Congress. Maybe a few will break and call for what's done... we only need a few.

Pelosi is going to be de facto President from a Fed response. Push for Senate agreement.

I don't say that as a partisan, I say that as a practical way to deal with a public health crisis until folks have their adjustment reaction and catch up.

Look to your governors and public health departments for guidance, and check states like WA and NY that post theirs.

This is a time to focus on the experts, the medical and science folks like Tony Fauci, and the non political parts of @CDCemergency. You local hospital will be messaging. Your local health departments and local media will be messaging. The paywalls are down for this.

No need for overreaction. Just do what needs to be done.

• large crowds need to be avoided (250+)
• sports leagues need to do at least what the NBA has done (the new norm)
• wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands (20 sec, soap)

Help will come from the feds in terms of emergency programs and legislation. A new package is being voted on in the House today.
