If you’re compiling educational/maths resources for your children at home, here’s a few I would personally recommend: #learningathome 1/n
Mathplayground.com for primary or first year students #learningathome
khanacademy.org from primary through secondary. Excellent maths, science & computer science resources for self-learning. American grades, but you can find the Irish equivalent by age etc. 3/n #learningathome
youcubed.org where there are lots of great resources & a course for students on how we learn maths (really important, positive messages to boost their self belief in their mathematical ability) #learningathome 4/n
Letting your child in secondary play around with Geogebra (freely downloadable programme) could be immensely helpful to them in understanding links between algebra & geometry. Inputting equations from textbook to see corresponding graphs can be a good start. 5/n #learningathome
Will continue to add resources as I think of them or come across them. 6/n #learningathome
There are also great videos for #leavingcert maths students (higher and ordinary levels) here from
@UCDMathsSupport
ucd.ie/msc/leavingcer… #learningathome #edshareie 7/n
Sorry - last link didn't work: ucd.ie/msc/leavingcer… #learningathome #edshareie 8/n
If you're looking for extra-curricular content, all of our Maths Sparks workshops are available here with teacher plans, answers etc. that you can use as parents ucd.ie/mathstat/maths… Mostly secondary but some primary relevant (e.g. coding & logic) #learningathome #edshareie
