Please let’s not panic over #coronavirus. It is highly infectious and we must take precaution to keep safe but we should not worry excessively. #COVID19 in most cases causes only mild to moderate symptoms and has a low fatality. Currently, only about 3 in 100 of known cases die.
Given that many people with mild symptoms are not tested, the real number of infections must be higher than the current 180,000 known infections. This means the real fatality rate must be lower. Most people recover and return to normal health like with most viral infections.
Most people diagnosed with #COVID19 are asked to go home and self-isolate without any specific treatment besides plenty of fluids and support for fever. This means this disease is not that bad in most people otherwise we would not send people home to be alone. #foodforthought
