UBI as a policy is worthy of discussion, but coming out of this administration it just sounds like a bribe. Essentially, they're too incompetent to implement a reliable testing and care system for #coronavirus but they can fast forward sending every American adult $1,000 a month?
This isn't about an either or, it's about priorities. Millions of Americans will be out of work as #coronavirus shuts down businesses. UBI could save lives, but if Trump hadn't spent the last 3 years dismantling ACA and dozens of health agencies that could've saved lives too
Throwing money at #coronavirus doesn't work. Just how long does Mnuchin propose implementing UBI? How does that affect taxes? Who is eligible? What banks will participate? Throwing out a new policy when the problem at hand isn't solved is a distraction
