Navy school house closed after 3rd sailor tests positive for COVID-19: SAN DIEGO (March 17, 2020) - Training Support Command (TSC) San Diego closed on March 14, after a third Sailor tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).
On March 14, a Sailor from USS Essex (LHD 2) currently attending a course at Training Support Command (TSC) San Diego tested positive for COVID-19.
The student had been attending the course at Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) since Feb. 6, 2020. The individual is currently isolated.
The Navy schoolhouse where the training occurred in San Diego will remain closed until further notice. The two additional cases, announced on March 15, and March 13 remain in isolation.

My Q to DoD Acquisition Chief: "Joint Chiefs on Feb 1 warned a pandemic was coming, what did you do to begin stockpiling masks, [PPE,] and ventilators at that time, can you take us back to when you started and why there isn't a greater stockpile in the U.S. military right now?"
Ellen Lord: "There is actually a very significant stockpile in the U.S. military... There are I believe 200 ventilators.
Griffin: "I believe it was 2,000 ventilators that you had, did you start buying more ventilators? 2,000 is not going to solve the current crisis?"
Ellen Lord: "I understand. We are working on procuring more ventilators right now."
My Q: But 6-weeks later, Feb. 1st was when the EXORD [execute order] went out, it's hard to understand why this is just beginning right now?

The US military conducted a C-17 mission from Ernesto Cortissoz, Columbia to Soto Cano, Honduras then to Charleston, SC. Repatriated 60 American citizens, including a women's tackle football team: SOUTHCOM
SOUTHCOM is currently conducting 1 x C-130 mission from Soto Cano, Honduras to Charleston SC. Still in progress, scheduled to land at Charleston tonight, 20 Mar 20. 84 American citizens. The remainder of the women's football team and some US Embassy personnel.
US Department of State contracted a plane to bring American citizens home from Morocco. They were stuck in Morocco as a result of COVID-19 travel ban.

Bottom line: the Canadian government - led by Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau - has been acting to protect Canadians since the very beginning of #COVIDー19.
