The aviation relief package we put forward through @afa_cwa and transportation Labor makes it clear: any company that we rescue must maintain pay and benefits for every worker. No layoffs. Period. 2/7
That's not all. We need structural change to our economy. Corporations spent their cash on stock buybacks to juice share price and reward execs. That's why our plan says:

The White House wants to use a one-time check to disguise the fact that they're trying to give massive bailouts to their corporate donors with virtually NO STRINGS attached. Our answer is simple:

For millions of workers, direct government payments are important. We should do them--and more than a one-time $1000 check. But industries that get a relief package must agree to keep workers on payroll and in their jobs, even if they are not "on" the job during this threat. 6/7
This is the best way to keep our economy from collapsing completely. Finally, airline workers have seen this before. We know exactly what didn’t work in prior crises. We won’t stand for it again. And we won’t let it happen to workers in any other sector either. 7/7
