Important COVID-19 lesson from Bhutan.
We just got our 2nd positive case of COVID-19 who is the female partner of our 1st case- a US tourist.
She tested negative 3 times before during her 2-week quarantine. They met long before.
She tested positive on last day during 4th test.

The partner tested negative thrice before and showed a positive result only on the 14th day of quarantine; 19th day of coming to Bhutan and the index patient showing symptoms; and 28th day of first contact in Assam with the index patient.
So if index patient had the virus from before then it means it took 28 days for it to show in tests in the partner.
Even if one took a more cautious note the index patient shows symptoms 19 days ago when he was with the partner who only tested positive now.
This is worrying.
