1/ Update on my 68 year old mom who has tested negative to all flu and can’t get a test for #COVIDー19 @KPMemberService...
She finally went to the ER with a 102 fever, chest pain, and dry cough.
They admitted her in and drew blood and Xray...

2/ they retested her for flu even though she had tested negative on Wednesday. She was negative again. Her cough is worse. Her chest pain and breathing is worse. After an hour the doctor came in and told her she thinks it’s a viral infection.

3/ they had no desire to even test her for #COVIDー19 although she is displaying all symptoms and is negative for flu. She’s doing what the government is asking us to do...

4/ so all of her tests came back negative again... I had her ask the doctor why he won’t test her for #COVIDー19 He told her “Stay home another week” @KPMemberService

5/ So then I told her to ask for the doctor to come back and just please explain why they won’t test her for it...
Now I’m mad. But my mom is alone in the ER and she’s not the confrontational type. So after my begging she musters the courage to ask again.

6/ So she asks again and gets told the doctor is gone now and new doctors are here but that ...”even if it is corona virus, there is no medicine for it” by her nurse. 🤯
To which she told the nurse that wouldn’t the CDC want to know?
Nurse said...”come back if you feel worse”

And lastly... this messages from her.
Please pray for her.
It’s obviously not as easy as our leadership wants you to know it is to get a #COVIDー19 test. She has an hour long drive home with a 103 temp. Love you twitter fam.
