Hungary declares a form of martial law
to clarify: this is still a government bill, not the law yet
however, I am told that it will require only a 2/3 majority to pass, which the government has. So it will be law on Monday.
update: the bill requires 2/3 majority, but it also requires a change of parliamentary rules which requires a 4/5 majority. So it can in fact be blocked.
High level of confusion, I should add, is a long-standing Orban tactic
