When others announced aid package, we admitted publicly that #Corona is an epidemic.
Jan 7-WHO identified it while China reported first death on Jan 11.
We had at least 45 days since then, what precautionary/preventive measures we took ?
As usual we were busy flaring up hatred 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re VRDLs labs for #Covid testing:
Just 75 labs functional as on date for a population of 130 cr.
Five days back only,ICMR/MoHFW had raised a purchase order for 1 million nCoV probes (testing component).
10 days after recording first death, we have released guidelines for Pvt labs

ICMR had said each lab has capacity to test 90 samples / day.
75 * 90 = 6750 samples capacity.

We had tested just 1210 individuals yesterday between 10 AM to 6 PM,this despite a surge in positive cases in tested cases in last few days.

Still under-utilising infrastructure ?!

Banging utensils for 5 minutes. Ok. Done.
What next ?

Do we have a plan ahead to overcome this crisis ?

Btw, the head of the Economic Response Task Force Nirmala Sitharaman has clarified that “TASK FORCE IS YET TO BE CONSTITUTED.”
