I’ve had 5 people asking about where to find pills because they are afraid to leave their homes to go to clinics for abortions.
I’ve had 6 requests for where to find EC and two were from people who want it because they can’t get into their doctors right now to get birth control refilled.
I’m sharing this because I’m overwhelmed and I assume others are getting the same. And I’m horrified. And I’m so tired already. And it’s only been two weeks.
We knew our medical system was broken. We knew for profit health care was a mistake. This was always going to happen at some point. But knowing this intellectually and watching it play out in people’s lives is so very different.
anyway, I guess I’m just sad and defeated today. Go hug a loved one tonight. I will be doing the same.
