I woke up this morning, looked at my messages and felt like crying. Again...Last night was the incredible #ClapForOurCarers outpouring of support and appreciation for the @NHS and other essential services. We stood outside for a minute alongside all our
2/ neighbours clapping. It was dark but even then I had to move away and hide behind a bush because I couldn't prevent myself from getting all choked up and emotional. It felt good to be doing something to celebrate the actions of all these essential heroic workers. I had a
3/ private little cry and then shamelessly mentioned it on Twitter! haha. As I said, I awoke this morning and almost immediately felt sad and tearful. I can't work out if it’s a hangover from last night or something deeper. The fact is Joanne has been asking me for days 'what’s
4/ going on'. I have not admitted it to her but I know that I’ve been somewhat disconnected from the family. There is a black cloud inside me. I can't say why. Honestly, I can't. I just end up acting like a twat with the ones I love. What is it about this odd, unusual lockdown
5/ situation that has caused me to falter? Yes, I know you know the answer but that just doesn’t help me!!! Thank god for the 'one bit of exercise per day' rule. I'm not one for praising any government but all I can say is thank god they allowed this one little extravagance.
6/ One that has been denied in many countries. Easily removed. If it were not for this and the love and understanding of my family, god knows what shape I would be in. And, I’m one of the lucky ones. What of the many thousands of less fortunate out there? Finally some good
7/ news, I received a notification from the NHS that they are processing my request to volunteer. Helping others less fortunate than I is a certain way to lift my spirits and help. Stay fit, stay strong, stay healthy.
Oh, I should also add that I’m okay. 😊👍❤️
