So covid is here
I’ve been told not to scope
How will I go on?
How will I cope?

You’ve taken away
The one true joy in my life
How will I tell
My kids and my wife

“Too high risk” I was told
“It will aerosolise”
“Well that’s fine” I replied
But inside, I cried

Now I wander these wards
Not a bleeder in sight
No purpose or meaning
No, this cannot be right

How I long to be standing
In front of the screen
With a well prepped colon
CURSE YOU COVID 19
