One day I met an intoxicated Jimmy carrying a beautiful beetle like this one in a 🏺. Why in the 🌍 was he carrying it? He said they fetch a handsome amount on eBay. Illicit trade in biodiversity is real and must be stopped!

This guy is a heavy lifter. She hunts for caterpillars 🐛 almost her size and carries them sometimes 40m away to her burrow where she lays her eggs so that when they hatch they have fresh food. Ingenious!

Flying termites came out towards evening. I didn’t know they are preyed on by this fly. It would catch them midair and bring them down in a spectacular way. Shame - darkness soon covered the crime scene

The fledglings have left the nest! Reminds me of Leviticus 14-Cleansing of the Leper (sinner). He brought 2 🕊 to the priest. 1 (Jesus) was killed it’s blood poured on the mate (church) & let loose. As it flies it brings peace & deliverance to the 🌍
