This is not the moment to defy the government or play the martyr.
This is not a conspiracy to undermine the church.
If Romans 13 ever meant anything, now is a time to understand the vividness of its intent.

3/4 Fighting for religious liberty requires choosing the right battles.
Protesting over a pandemic is not going to make us heroes for religious liberty, but selfish and unserious.
Fight over speech, agency, government orthodoxies, targeted assaults, and stifling regulations.

4/4 Additionally, it's not as though the church cannot meet: We can meet in groups that follow a state's requirements; we can meet online. Our ideal meeting conditions may not be an option, but crowing about an ideal while alternatives remain available is just not a good look.
