In times past, it was frowned upon.

Today, it is treated as the holy grail.
The whole point of "connections" in the Nigerian context is to give you an unfair advantage because you know someone.
Nobody talks about "level playing field in Nigeria".

The average Nigerian is shallow, typically chanting slogans he/she barely understands.
