#Weinstein thing. I've been in some vile situations & everyone makes excuses for the bad guys. Like I've been told "but he's brilliant" 1/
As if talent is an excuse for misogyny. Or "his" talent outranks mine because it is PENIS talent. I've been told "he's on the spectrum" or
"he's going through something." And the thing is it makes YOU feel crazy. You can't trust your feelings or, worse, you KNOW you'll be told
you're wrong or lying or hysterical. And it's already so fucking hard to be taken seriously by YOURSELF as well as others that you move on
It's hard when all your life you're schooled to use your sexual currency, that it is your value -- if you TRY to be attractive then it's not
a man's fault for trying to take something you don't want to give. It's your fault. can't tell you how many women I know feel this confusion
But the fact is -- women navigate a world of fear every day that most men can't comprehend. Except for the ones who do. And use it to hurt
Women in our business try to share the "bad guy" list -- warn others off, etc. But we're getting tired of the game. We're not "snowflakes"
We're not crazy. WE SEE YOU.
