The paper of record missed the story of 2016. Neither the Washington Post nor the Wall Street Journal picked up the slack. The Grey Ladies failed spectacularly. They were all drunk on the horse race. They will be drunk on horse racing again in 2020.
The free press is essential to democracy but it must drop its stubborn yet profitable horse-race view-from-nowhere habit. This business model has been hacked by our adversaries. Get woke or be stupid.
Maybe I hammer the Grey Ladies so hard because they refuse to cover my consequential Cambridge Analytica legal work? I win a guilty plea but not a word of coverage by NYT, WaPo, WSJ. Yet basically all other news orgs will cover my efforts. It’s a very weird feeling.

The New York Times never would’ve reported on Cambridge Analytica if The Guardian wasn’t under legal assault from SCL’s lawyers. A US partner was needed.

The New York Times closed out the campaign with headlines that Trump Russia was a non-story and Clinton emails still were.
The problem with having a paper of record is having a paper of record.
We shouldn’t wait for The New York Times to decide. But we do. And we will.

Most people think about getting deals done—price and terms. Reality is that as either buyer or seller, once "deal fever" settles in those are easy and you can’t really "contract" or LOI terms of subsequent integration. Why?
Too many (unintentionally) scuttle deals by trying to negotiate future—how will things work, what will be asked of team, etc. Truth is you can’t contract these b/c they can’t be enforced, but also negotiating may leave bad taste and lead to failure of deal.

Geofence-based warrants are fucking terrifying from a privacy perspective.
Geofencing is done actively by intelligence agencies, police departments corporations all the time - they are creepy enough, but unless you refuse to carry a phone, hard to defend against technologically.

This kind of post-hoc fencing warrant is way creepier.

3/ Let's assume the elites are very much in line with the Pike Doctrine of duality - that there is one God (Adonai), and another god (Lucifer). This can mean that there are no other gods, or Lucifer is using other deities as a culturally specific avatar.
