i will scream from morning to midnight about how keyboards need MORE keys, computers need MORE special purpose buttons
but not shit like "calculator" and "new email" like they tried in 1998. they need hard buttons for yes, no, cancel, back up,
refresh, softkeys you can assign to switch to hard defined tasks or windows or even input fields
HIGH LEVEL concepts that apps have to be aware of. in other words we need to redesign the PC keyboard... circa 1987

a thing that plagues me whenever i try to 'gram is that i struggle with extremely simple math, and i mean like, extremely simple
like i'll need to answer the question "how far is this number from this other number" and i end up in notepad for 30 minutes to an hour shuffling numbers around and trying to figure out what terms go where
and it ends up culminating in something like

if abs(room_x_offset) > 2:
...
if abs(room_x_offset) > 4:
...
if abs(room_x_target - room_x_offset) < 2:
...

i decided to play with pygame a little. i created a sprite subclass, instantiated it and put it in a sprite list, and when i kill() it it never gets garbage collected so the program is instantly uselessly memory-leaky
this is 100% of my experiences trying to do anything interesting with code. i immediately hit a brick wall like this and i have no idea where to begin figuring it out, or if the helper library is fundamentally broken
i swear to god the only time in my life i ever got a *single inch* into this is when the only library i was using was SDL. if i use anything fucking else, i just spend endless hours trying to figure out the bizarre mentality of someone elses library instead of doing actual work

Reward Risk Ratio = Average Profit Per Trade / Average Loss Per Trade

If Success Rate is 0.5 and Reward Risk 2, Then

Expectancy = 2 x 0.5 =1

For Making Profit, Expectancy Should Be Positive Number (2/n)
To Calculate Expectancy, You Need Defined System With Rules To Get Success Rate and Reward Risk. If You Have No System To Take Decisions, You Are Hanging In Thin Air and Will Never No Whether You Will Keep Making Or Loosing Money In Future (3/n)

When I first did real (small-a) agile, at @pivotallabs circa 2009, it was clear to me almost immediately that this was the most powerful way to build software that I’d ever participated in.
Pivotal wasn’t a brand so much at that point, and agile hadn’t “won.” I frequently had to explain, discuss, and (ultimately) defend the practices to many of the client developers on my early projects.

#New PA cong. map increases D chance of winning the House majority by 4%. They only need a 6.8% generic ballot margin now (down from 7.7) to be favored.

Diff. will be closer to 10% in Nov when uncertainty from polls is ⬇️. Redraw is a very big deal.

One major reason the new PA map is such a big gain for Democrats is that it solidifies, not just tips, PA districts in Philly burbs. Also creates one additional vulnerable R district. (Easily seen in this map made by @JMilesColeman)
My forecasting model will have new PA map in the near future. This is not just a simple switch; it’s a coding redesign, restructuring of input, & drawing new geographic files. Takes a while (for me, a student).
