1. A Happy Thanksgiving to all and Thanksgiving thread for #TheResistance. Please take a moment to reflect and be thankful for your brothers and sisters who work shoulder to shoulder with you daily advocating for a better nation for all, despite their own life struggles.
2. Recognize that the battle ahead will get harder and more demanding. It exists on many fronts. We must #resist the tide of divisiveness and authoritarianism, educate against propaganda, defend against the destruction of policy and reject unjust agendas.
4. Make no mistake, it is a strategy of this administration to keep us so embattled in defense that we lack resources and attentiveness toward an effective offense. This strategy was apparent and effective in the 2016 election.
5. The more we are focused on their actions, the more they control the narrative. And this is their advantage because we must fight back against the attacks against policy. We must advocate for our communities. We must fight the normalization of authoritarianism.
6. We must also get our message out. We must bring our platform into communities and connect it with their life issues. We founded @DemsWork4USA with the mission to 'engage, register, protect and mobilize voters'. Each one of these issues are central to winning midterms.
7. No one group will do this alone. No single organization, nor the existing party infrastructure is enough to handle all the tasks at hand. But, all of us, working together, collaborating, building coalitions, respecting & supporting each other CAN do this.
8. It is overwhelming, exhausting work. Take breaks when you need to, recognizing that others will help shoulder the burden. Then come back ready to fight. Don't give in to infighting, respect different voices, support the efforts of others.
