2017 edition of #EveryCorporateChristmasTreeInToronto. We begin with the baseline: Toronto’s finest tree in Cumberland Terrace at Yonge + Bloor. 10/10 
Yorkdale Mall tree. Rotates. Mostly lit by LEDs at bottom that change colour. Trees must be lit from within, not projected. Size (and rotation) does not make up for quality. 3/10
In the arm’s-length-gov’t category, a forest scene at @MaRSDD. Thick theatrical snow + nice variety of trees + didn’t cheap out on light density. One point deducted for bad sign placement. 7/10

Theme continued subtlety throughout complex. @MaRSDD bumped back up to 8/10 Nice little tableaux.

Queen-Richmond Centre submits an unorthodox upside-down tree. Could also be used a Bond-film torture device. Doesn’t seem to light up. 6/10
The @SpacingStore tree, adorned with streetcar pics, is great. Really best tree of all time. Tremendous. Fantastic. Terrific.

Government tree 1 — Metro Hall — portable, in case it’s needed in Scarborough — safety mat over cord — thrifty effort but expresses sufficient civic joy, but not too much joy. 7/10
MetroCentre food court welcome tree, one of a series. Underground, beneath the Eternal Flame of Hope.

Government tree 2 - main civic tree - a bit spartan - has aspirations of greatness but unwilling to spend money needed to get there. Some ornaments buried in Scarborough. Looks best at night. 6/10

Government tree 3 - city hall theme day - Viljo Revell 1964 stamped in concrete. Caution barriers satisfy Yuletide health & safety requirements 9/10

Minus 5 points for using corporate colours in tree. Could be an anytime of the year tree.
Sociabank HQ basement. One in a series. Cage of ornaments & lights. Will scare children with this dark turn but a way to get them ready for mortgages. 4/10
