1/ Today's thread is a little different, but I hope it helps you navigate $crypto twitter and ultimately become a more informed investor with some tips/thoughts on how to use it effectively...
2/ Awhile ago I posted this about Twitter being the equivalent of a bloomberg terminal in traditional assets since this is the best place for the fastest news + some of the sharpest minds on any cryptoasset topic

3/ I want to add a few things to this as I've seen a massive uptick in the amount of people coming onto twitter, and also the claims about follower count, how long someone has been here, and other things....
4/ I'll start this by saying I am NEW here. I got into crypto early 2017 and started this twitter mid year. I came because you can learn about coins, strategy, and you can ask people questions -> AND THEY ANSWER YOU.

It was amazing. It still is.
5/ As I began sharing threads on strategy, risk mgmt, exposure, and other topics along with explaining TA in a simple professional way....people started to follow.

Slow at first, but I continued to post every single day and also engage with every single person that messaged me.
6/ The first few months it grew to 5k people. Then 10k a month in October. Then 10k a month in November.

Then 40k in December. Why the surge? I have no clue.

I'm sharing the same charts, trades, threads, analysis and acting the same.
7/ I havn't changed anything. I've continued to talk about strategy, engage with every single person I can, and be respectful/empathetic of everyone's situation while trying to help.

This is still the place I come to for info.
8/ The people that I still look to for info are @notsofast @AriDavidPaul @CryptoCobain @CarpeNoctom @mBTCPizpie @ledgerstatus @bitcoin_dad @ so many others...

This is because some have been here MUCH longer than me or share info that is consistently helpful.
9/ Interestingly enough - some accounts that have been here a longer time and generally post memes or tell people to 'fuck off' or they are 'dumb af' or are vague...arent growing.

I'm growing at a rate of 3-4k followers a day. Is this a bad thing? Should I start posting less?
10/ It's certainly not because I'm smarter than anyone here. There are way smarter people with almost no followers. Plenty of good traders/investors who don't tweet.

In fact - the smartest people I've met in blockchain aren't even on Twitter...go figure.
11/ I understand and actually respect/encourage skepticism...but there has been too many baseless and false attempts to slander new guys coming in lately.

If I'm working at this every single day and put serious thought into the things I post, should I start being less helpful??
12/ With all that being said - here are a few things to consider when looking at a Twitter account to make this TRUSTLESS in true crypto fashion...
13/ ->FOLLOWER COUNT DOES NOT MATTER
->Look to people who have been here longer
->Don't buy something blindly after seeing a chart/pump
->Be weary of shills
->Think for yourself
->Judge someone by the quality of information they give for FREE
->Always be skeptical (of me 2)
14/ Hopefully that lists helps some of you. Who knows what kind of claims I'll get when my account is at 150k by the end of the month according to current pace.

I'm going to continue to be as transparent as possible, and do everything with integrity.

Thanks for your support.
15/ wrong tweet for #2...whoops. Here is the correct quote
