A thread about the Most Wanted Armed Criminals in Nigeria's History, and how they were caught and punished.

"Dr." Ishola Oyenusi

He never finished secondary school, but called himself a Doctor.

He was Nigeria's first celebrated criminal.

30,000 people watched him die.

He was smiling when he was shot to death.

When a police officer handcuffed Ishola Oyenusi in 1970 and tongue lashed him, Oyenusi replied with, "People like you don’t talk to me like that when I'm armed. I gun them down."

Ishola Oyenusi smiling while he was about to be put to death in 1971, after his gang was caught stealing $28,000. He was extremely cocky, disrespectful and pompous.

Ishola Oyenusi's second in command, Mighty Joe became worse after his death. He boasted that no one could arrest him due to his spiritual powers. He was executed in 1973 for stealing 10 Naira.

Shina Rambo killed the 9 herbalists who performed bloody and severe rituals for him to gain spiritual powers, so no one could know his secret.

Shina Rambo, who terrorized South-West Nigeria and Benin City once spent N50 million in a day, drove 40 stolen cars in a convoy from Lagos to Benin Republic without being stopped.

Shina Rambo (now a Pastor) once pounded 27 babies to death, killed over 100 people to eat their tongues and slept with his own mother for spiritual "powers."

Shina Rambo is believed to have once escaped a police chase from Ibadan to Lagos on reverse! He said his spiritual wife (whose face nobody could see as she covered it because she was faceless) drove him around.

Shina Rambo spent 11 years in prison for countless crimes he committed. He was given an executive pardon for good behaviour.

Shina Rambo (now Evang. Matthew Oluwanifemi) ran away from home at 7, after his corrupt soldier dad tried to kill him for assembling his gun. His dad disfigured him with a cutlass when he was sleeping (this led to him running away). His dad use to bring blood stained money home.

Lawrence Nomanyagbon Anini, who terrorized Benin City in the 1980s escaped a police chase by driving in reverse from Agbor (in modern day Delta State) to Benin City (in modern day Edo State).

Lawrence Anini, a skilled driver for gangs vowed to kill as many police officers as possible, when a corrupt police boss refused to stop the execution of his boss, after accepting his bribe to thwart his execution. Anini's parents sent him to the city to become a mechanic.

Shina Rambo's dad came back with thousands of Naira stained with blood daily, which he violently stole from civilians. Shina saw all these.

Anini was given the nickname, "The
Governor" after he started throwing stolen bundles of money on road and at marketplace for people to pick.

Lawrence Nomanyagbon "The Law" Anini wrote several letters to media houses using Robin Hood-like terms, to describe his criminal operations.

A member of Anini's gang, Alhaji Zege Zege a.k.a Zed Zed was never caught.

Derico Nwamama terrorized Anambra State with the help of a lawmaker and Local Government Chairman. He killed over 100 police officers and was beheaded by vigilantes (Bakassi Boys).

Nollywood movies have been made about Lawrence Anini, Derico Nwamama, Shina Rambo, Abiodun "Godogodo" Egunjobi and "Dr." Ishola Oyenusi.

Shina Rambo killed over 200 people. Derico Nwamama, over 100 (25 police officers included), Godogodo, over 100 police officers. He also killed civilians. Anini, over 20 people.

Gogogodo - 1999 - 2013.

Abiodun "Gogogodo" Egunjobi killed over 100 Lagos people officers, had 6 houses, over 52 fish ponds and even traveled to Dubai. He was the most wanted man in Lagos State for over 10 years. CCTV footage from a bank he robbed revealed his identity. He was arrested in 2013.

Godogodo spent 7 years in jail for fighting, he saw this as a minor crime and vowed to punish police officers after he was released. He killed over 100 police officers in Lagos State.

Godogodo had a very private and calm lifestyle. He didn't smoke, drink, womanise, attend ceremonies or use one sim card for more than a day (whenever he was working on a robbery).

"There's no gain in crime, I never smoked, drank, went to outings or used banks. But I was still caught. You will get caught too if you're into crime." - Godogodo.

Badoo, a notorious serial rapist and sexual molester in Ikorodu, Lagos State was arrested several times and kept being released due to lack of evidence. He was lynched by an angry mob, and was beaten to death in the process.

In 1978, Youpelle Dakuro, an army desserter carried out the most vicious daylight robbery in Lagos State. Sadly, too little is known about him.

Shina Rambo claimed to have lived in Iroko trees (he said looked like 5 star hotels), buried alive for 7 days and had community elders he submitted to. He also claimed to have seen many popular politicians inside the trees.

The highest amount of cars Shina Rambo ever hijacked in a day was 42. He stole hundreds of cars and sometimes, gave many of them out as gifts.

In January 2017, Henry "Vampire" Chibueze, a notorious kidnap gangs leader pulled off a shocker, when he escaped from a heavily guarded court in Imo State, after 30 of his armed men stormed into the court, killing several police officers. He was killed by the police in March 2017

Chukwudi Dumeme "Evans" Onuamadike a.k.a Evans The Kidnapper collected millions of US Dollars as ransoms, bought 2 Magodo houses for N230m & built 2 houses in Ghana. He also went on vacation to Canada with his family. He was arrested in June 2017. Here's a list of his victims.

Sina Rambo only slept with his wife besides the time he slept with his mother. He used to have prostitutes around him who he romanced, but never had sex with because he was ordered not to do so by his witchdoctors (native doctors), so he won't weaken or eliminate his charms.

Ejima Igwe Dibia a.k.a Don Wanny, the most dreaded cultist/kidnapper in Omoku, Rivers State. He wiped out several families & was responsible for the January 1, 2018 Omoku Massacre. He lived in a mansion & had N700 M in his frozen accounts. He was killed on January 7 by soldiers.
