/ Welcome to Tuesday in the independent republic of Brexitlandia
/ Well it had been another remarkable 24 hours in Brexitlandia as @jeremycorbyn proposed his Cakeism in the form of a customs union that links the UK into the EU trade deals around the globe with appropriate representation 🍰
/ It is welcome that the need and desirability of a customs union is now being debated but does beg the question how Labour's position is better than being in the EU. Still it is a better proposal than the Tory one of throwing it's cake off the white cliffs of Dover
/ The EU don't like the UK approach of baskets because that is picking and choosing which is the thing the EU has been saying is not and which is a shock to the UK because the EU means what is said. Weirdos!
/ and while the UK dithers businesses are starting to make decisions uk.mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/id…
/ Ryanair is reducing the risk of Brexit meaning no flights to the EU by gradually reducing the flights it runs to the EU. Project Fear indeed 👻glasgowlive.co.uk/news/glasgow-n…
/ Scotland must be delighted at having voted remain and seeing the impact of something it did not vote for starting to affect it 🙄
/ Meanwhile @BorisJohnson continued to not engage in any detail by claiming the Irish border issue was like going from Camden to Islington. He is a simpleton. Don't listen to him 🤡
/ @BorisJohnson also said it would be "fantastic" if we stopped talking about Brexit. It would indeed. Let's stop Brexit then. 😘
/ because it is obvious @BorisJohnson has not got a FUCKING CLUE how to resolve the Irish border question or make a success of Brexit (for us, not him)
/ I mean even the WTO say there will be a hard border under WTO rules. So no doubt Brexiters will blame the WTO next when their "plans" don't work
/ The Brexiters will say if you oppose them you want poor British people and poor Africans to stay poor. Which is odd when you think we have had 8 years of austerity and ignores the Everything But Arms non- reciprocal trade arrangements the EU has to help poorer nations 🤔
/ Anyway some may wonder why the argument we need to leave the EU to benefit from non- EU growth suddenly become an argument about helping foreigners. I must have misunderstood @Jacob_Rees_Mogg when he presented a petition to reduce international aid 🤔
/ Global Liam Fox gave a speech today attaching business for being LAZY FUCKING SHITS for not helping him as he travels the world completing his bucket list at our expense 👊
/ When someone who may know something calls Global Liam Fox out it is worth listening
/ Still Global Liam Foxs natural response is to trash his credentials. This is because Liam Fox will not let anything get in the way of his dreamy chlorinated chicken 🐔
/ Still tomorrow the EU will publish the draft withdrawal agreement which will be longer than the UK's entire impact assessments
/ No doubt Brexiters will go ape shit when they realise the phase 1 deal means the fallback option means full alignment with SM/ CU rules.
/ Still there are two "learnings". Do a bit of planning and think about what global message it sends if you backtrack from a political deal that sought to protect an international agreement (the GFA).
/ Who knew that taking back control would lead to less control? Still will of the people innit 🙊🙉🙈
