When we talk about using data it's data that helps you design. We usually have a lot of qualitative data as designers. Orgs can have huge amounts of quant data.

A travel company launched an MVP in English to Latin America, they found that there was not much uptake in bookings.

They implemented a standard design pattern of pay & cancel buttons. In Latin America the Spanish for Cancel was also used as meaning to 'cancel my debts' or PAY. So the two button meant the same thing.
