But on Saturday night, Trump lashed out at Mueller.
Then Trump lawyer John Dowd suggested that Rod Rosenstein should conclude the Mueller probe. And so last night, trying to walk it all back, Trump lawyer Ty Cobb said the president isn't considering firing Mueller, and blamed the media. 4/
So Hannity makes a special appearance on Fox & Friends this morning, and Steve Doocy asks him, "What do you think of Robert Mueller and the suggestion that the president is about to fire him? You don't think that's a good idea, do you?" 5/
And Hannity says that Trump “didn't say he was going to fire him,” blames “fake news media,” and adds, "if I was advising the president, I would say, ‘Let this investigation go forward -- we’re probably coming to the end of it.’”
