"Two common tales that follow attacks in this conflict (Pastoral Conflict) is that army aircraft were seen dropping supplies to armed herdsmen; and that soldiers were on hand to disarm native populations, just prior to attacks."
"Stories like these have been allowed to gain currency. I have, personally, heard such stories in Kaduna, Benue, Nasarawa, and Imo states."
"Heck, in March this year (2017), the lawmaker from Ethiope East in Delta state’s House of Assembly, Evance Ivwurie, told the House, in session, that soldiers had supplied Fulani herdsmen with arms and ammunition just before an attack in Ovre-Abraka."
"There was no response to that from the military."

I wrote all of that here - goo.gl/RdKPAA

I wrote the above in October last year, so why are people acting surprised that Danjuma is saying what people in the Middle Belt have been saying for years?
In the end of it all, there is only one buck. It stops at the table of the man who looked the other way while this crisis escalated out of hand.

The man who looked the other way when his defence minister said the killings were because of recent laws.
The man who looked the other way when his police chief ignored 'orders' to sort out the issue, and still retained his job.

That man is Muhammadu Buhari.

What TY Danjuma said, right or wrong is irrelevant. His statement is a natural consequence of Buhari's negligence of his job.
