let's start an ice cream shop that can be a cool hangout spot for teens
the problem is that slick new corporate ice cream shop that opened up right across the street. they don't care about the kids
they use opossum milk to make their ice cream out of because its more cost effective
i have challenged the owner of the corporate ice cream shop to a ski-off down asher's pass. loser closes up their ice cream shop forever
i thought i lost the ski-off because i wiped out, but it turns out the corporate ice cream shop guy had cheated by sabotaging my skis. when the teens found out, they beat the shit out of him, he's in the ICU
the corporate ice cream guy has died from kidney failure after severe blunt force trauma. the teens are celebrating. they're animals! they have taken over my ice cream shop and are having sex on all of my tubs of ice cream. if the health inspector shows up, i'm toast!

For everyone other there treating lore from Volo and Morderkainen like it's carved in stone, remember that they're unreliable narrators, and that their sources aren't 100% accurate or free of bias. That's right, even fictional characters can have biases. #DnD #ttrpg
What do I mean by this? I mean that they're fallible, and subject to propaganda and rewritten history. Neither has the ability to "get it right" 100% of the time, and the places where the facts are kept are barred to mortals for the most part.
So when Volo describes Gnolls as being "created whole from demon's blood and hyenas", it's a pretty good chance that he's repeating back some nonsense he heard that Yeenoghu wants to the be the "known" origin of the species. That's right, this is a stan for #Gnolls thread! #DnD

The only thing shocking to me about the racism of @Starbucks employees is how shocked people are by it.

Y'all have no idea how many hurdles black people have to jump over just to get through a day.

And this starts so young. So much of our lives are stolen due to racism
If you look at the statistics of how our black children are treated as early as preschool, they are treated as violent disruptions instead of as children.

Black children are 4 times more likely to be suspended from preschool as white children.

We're talking 4yr olds
These numbers carry through all the way through high school and adulthood.

One of the earliest lessons our kids learn is that the world expects the worst from them.

About to go on a rant, but hear me out: There’s been a lot of discussion about the Sinclair issue, and as most of you who follow the media know, they’re about to close on a deal to acquire Tribune stations. But there’s one thing nobody is talking about that I’d like to address.
I’m going to rant about the UHF Discount and how Sinclair recently lobbied the FCC to reinstate it so they could expand their reach. Before I do that, it’s important to understand how TV broadcasting worked before 2009 and after.
Most of you old schoolers will remember a time when there were just four networks: NBC, ABC, CBS & NET (later PBS). And there only used to be broadcast anywhere from channels 2 through 13.
