Thread on where we stand on the DACA situation in Congress:

Congressman Jeff Denham & several other RINOs are looking to get enough GOP members to sign a Discharge petition which would force a vote on a Queen of the Hill rule which would allow a vote on 4 amnesty bills.
1/
As of yesterday Congressman Jeff Denham has 23 GOP signatures for his discharge petition and believes to be close to acquiring the rest.

2/
rollcall.com/news/politics/…
If the Queen of the Hill is enacted, 4 Amnesty Bills would be voted on with the highest vote count being the one that passes. This process would likely produce a bill that a majority of Democrats and a minority of Republicans support.

Translation: A crappy bill.

3/
Now, GOP leadership could fight this and use the power of the 2018 GOP re-election war chest to get some of these RINOs to back away, but from all reports it sounds as though GOP leadership is, again, being weak.

4/
Here are four ways Speaker Ryan can block the Discharge Petition:

Unfortunately Speaker Ryan has no spine and will probably do nothing to stop this Discharge Petition. So it is up to all of us to call the offices of your Congressman and tell them Never Amnesty!!!

Here is the list of RINOs supporting Denham's Amnesty Plan:

6/
President Trump yesterday saying he will not sign any Amnesty Deal that doesn't have the Wall, an End to Chain Migration and an End to the Diversity Visa Lottery.

Which is why Denham's plan is silly and will only drive down GOP turnout.

7/
So out of the 4 Amnesty Bills that would be introduced under the Queen of the Hill rule only the Goodlatte Bill would be one that President Trump has indicated he would sign.

Here is what is in the Goodlatte Bill:

However under the Queen of the Hill Rule, the Goodlatte Bill (the only bill Trump would sign) isn't likely to pass. The one that would be most likely to pass would be a liberal bill consisting of mainly Democrat support & some RINOs. Most likely a bill of Denham's choosing.

9/
Congressman Denham has even indicated that he wouldn't support the Goodlatte Bill, the ONLY amnesty deal Trump would even consider signing!!!!

10/
So why is Congressman Jeff Denham hellbent on pushing Amnesty?

Well because he’s barely hanging on to his Congressional Seat.

According to the Cook Political Report Denham is in a very close re-election race. They have deemed his seat a toss-up.

11/
But the amazing irony of Jeff Denham's recent heavy push for amnesty is that most people in his district are AGAINST it.
12/

But a little background on Denham, he's always been a huge amnesty guy:

In 2013 he co-sponsored the comprehensive immigration reform bill (AMNESTY) introduced by House DEMOCRATS.

In 2014 he broke ranks with the GOP & voted against a bill that would have dismantled DACA.

13/
To conclude this thread, Amnesty is a terrible idea for the GOP & an awful deal for America.

Denham deserves to lose his seat and he appears to be trying to take the GOP House with him. Vote him out & tell your Congressman to say NO to Denham's Amnesty Push. #FridayFeeling 14/
