Alvin Kamara had an amazing, historic rookie season, so in dedication to the greatness he displayed in his first year in New Orleans, here's this thread:
Kamara, for a rookie, displayed a rare level of balance that allowed him to break tackles with seemingly little effort.
I mean this is ridiculous.
Cuts on a dime after getting the ball, puts loads of work in to get a 5-yard gain to elevate the blocking ahead of him.
Kamara was eating defenses alive on screens since he got more snaps.
Wasn't supposed to be a 19-yard gain....
Kamara was having a good season up to this point, but the Rams game was where he REALLY went on another level. Elusiveness>>>>
I can't describe this play. Just watch.
Thanos has nothing on Alvin Kamara.
Freaking LOVE the quick acceleration after the stutter step, doesn't slow down Kamara's mechanics while also throwing the linebacker completely off.
Good. Lord. Almighty.
Kamara's elusiveness is matched by his tenacity. Gets tackled short of the end zone on 4th and 2 and it doesn't even matter.
Balance, balance, balance, balance, balance, bal.......
Mark Ingram is really good, but the Saints haven't had a back this versatile in a long, long time.
It's rare that I've seen a burst from a receiving back on the top of his route be executed this well, but Kamara's so good at it.
One of several reasons why Kamara's rookie season was so historic.
Eric Kendricks is a beast at linebacker, and Kamara just burns him.
Is Alvin Kamara going to sustain the 6.1 yards per carry he had in 2017? Probably not, but he's an elite talent that provides a ridiculously diverse skill set, and that's helped greatly enhance the Saints offense.
