Trump's answer to the outcry over his policy of separating families is to illegally and indefinitely lock up children and babies with their parents.
Trump is replacing his family separation policy with a family internment policy. 1/
Trump isn’t strong enough to admit he was wrong. He refuses to end his zero tolerance policy, and instead will replace one form of child abuse with another.
The thousands of families already separated get no help. 2/
His HHS Department has confirmed that they will make no effort to reunite already separated children. 3/
And he isn’t even ending the policy for those already suffering from it. 4/
Trump is also still criminally prosecuting all individuals at the border, regardless of legitimate asylum claims or arriving at Ports of Entry.
That has not changed. 5/
Changing this policy, as this EO does, clearly establishes that the policy existed despite Nielsen’s repeated denials.
She should resign or be fired. 6/
And we must remain vigilant and outraged until every family is reunited, including those of the men I spoke with yesterday. 7/
Congress should put these bad, anti-family bills aside and use this moment to pass the Keep Families Together Act and the Dream Act. 8/8
