I wrote this thread over a year ago and am shocked at the media’s reporting while things are escalating to a level where post WW2 alliances are being challenged and new alliances are being formed w evil dictators. The media is still dancing around this issue. It’s quite alarming
It’s frightening because American media seems to be either scared or unaware to discuss Trumps alliance w Putin. They are still questioning why Trump is making pro putin decisions and are still refusing to delve into his 3 decades of Russian mafia ties which resulted in this
Journalists stopped investigating his past and questioning his obsession w the Soviet Union that began in the 1980s. Why? Why are analysts so afraid to state the obvious while we are watching Trump hand everything to Putin? Why are they still giving air time to his lying cabinet?
By the time American media catches up we will be in a full Authoritarian state w a completely new alliance which does not believe in Democracy or citizens having any freedoms. Please wake up

Umm! Trump has been doing business with the Russians including Russian mafia since the 80’s. Trump knows Manafort since 1980. I’m still confused why it’s so hard for analysts and media to understand that Trump and co worked w the Kremlin to steal the election.
Same with Giuliani, Stone, his corrupt children, Kushner, and everyone surrounding Trump. I mean it’s been 3 years of this and by know media should understand what is happening and not only in US but worldwide. Especially in Europe w Putin doing everything to destroy the West
And the purpose for Trump to get into the WH was to implode America from within and destroy America on the international stage including wrecking relationships w our allies. It’s really not that hard to see what’s happening

800,000 federal employees are panicking about paying for rent and their living expenses and Trump is using the #TrumpsShutdown to collect donations

@realDonaldTrump has been a con his whole life
Is he running out of money for his legal expenses? Conspiracy against America can be quite expensive to defend
Besides hurting federal employees this shutdown has worked as a perfect distraction for Putin and Trump overseas.

This is very important to watch! I have been following the story on the Russian side since last spring when the Kremlin considered several ways of getting Deripaska’s companies out of sanctions. According to the Russians Mnuchin provided a path for lifting sanctions in April 2018

1) Let's talk (again) about Free Movement of People & #Brexit

I'm going to use the full title here (FMoP) for reasons that will become clear

Free Movement of People is progressive, by definition. The freedom to control your life.
No definition of "progressive" takes rights away
2) I choose to work in 28 countries, if that exposes me to exploitation I expect the state to intervene & protect me, not take away my rights

Removing my rights in the name of stopping "exploitation" is victim blaming, pure & simple
3) if I can work in 28 countries, I have agency over a major part of my future. If that right is taken away, someone else has control.
Anyone of above average income already has effective freedom of movement, taking it away only impacts one group
