For reporters who say the abuse heaped upon them by the current president is unprecedented, WWR suggests they study, say Adams's Alien and Sedition Acts, Lincoln's executive orders to physically shut down newspapers - and a plot (called off) by Nixon goons to murder a reporter
Conversely, for Trump to claim that the abuse heaped upon him by the press is unprecedented, WWR suggests he study press criticisms of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc. - vicious, unrelenting, nasty, often unfair. For all of Trump's whining, WWR offers this rejoinder: Yawn
