We should all congratulate our PM on concluding 2 year bitter, acrimonious Brexit talks - with her own Cabinet.

But this is all completely, utterly pointless.

It doesn’t cover 80pc of the economy, keeps us aligned where we won’t have a say and won’t be acceptable to EU27.

It’s asking the EU27 to split the single market, which they won’t.

All of the stuff that was promised during the referendum: end to free movement, free trade deals, more money for public services etc are gone.

They’re not what I believed- but am always told “will of ppl” etc

In which case who exactly does this fudge-of-all-fudges satisfy?

People did not vote for Brexit just for the sake of Brexit.

When this gets rejected - which it will - and we are faced with single mkt/ Customs Union - which govt will have to accept - what then?

The failure to accept *the fundamental choice of Brexit* is the root of all this:

1️⃣ save economy; save rights; but align to EU rules with no say
2️⃣ trash economy; but do not align to EU standards

That choice isn’t going away. In fact May’s fudge merely highlights it.

No party is able to escape that choice. It will haunt whoever is in power. Yet we all persist in pretending there are other options.

There aren’t.

Argument for @peoplesvote_uk is stronger and stronger with each day.

People will see through this. Patronising them will not work.
