The presidents Nov. 11, 2017 statement was also more equivocal than the WH is asserting. The president said "I'm with our agencies," but noted Putin "feels that he and Russia did not meddle in the election."

Same for the March 6, 2018 statement. The president said: "certainly there was meddling and probably there was meddling from other countries and maybe other individuals" and noted "the Russians had no impact on our votes whatsoever."

Some of these statements were equivocal enough that they prompted criticism that the president had split from his intelligence services. To use selectively edited snippets of those same statements to attempt to show the opposite seems particularly deceptive.
