(1) What's amazing about the Trump/Putin meeting is how incredibly unintelligent Trump was to have no one in the room with him. He probably thought that would protect him from exposure, but actually it makes the risk of exposure and blackmail by Russia even greater...
(2) It means Putin could say Trump promised x, y or z thing, even if he didn't, just to sow more chaos in U.S. politics. While Trump thinks Putin really likes him & wants 2 protect him, Putin only seeks to promote political instability in America for his/Russia's own sake...
(3) If Putin said Trump made certain promises, Trump would either have 2 go w/that version (even if untrue & damaging to U.S. interests) or refute it. But refuting would show he had proved himself naive about being able to trust Putin, which would make Trump look like a fool...
(4) Additionally refuting Putin's version would renew demands, even among some republicans, 2 hear from the translator in the room, so as 2 clear things up...which Trump wouldn't want bc that might reveal other damaging info--even info that Putin was willing to keep quiet...
(5) And to the extent it is inconceivable that Putin wasn't wired during the meeting (but almost certain Trump was not), they now have even more blackmail material, with or without the pee tape (which is also likely 100 percent real)...
(6) This is not how a "stable genius" conducts diplomacy or international negotiations or anything else. It is how a narcissistic man-child w/ low self-image and not much smarts does: someone who only needs a little flattery (even if contrived as w/Putin) to roll over...
(7) Regardless of what you think about pre-election collusion, this recent behavior indicates such a profound instability (mental and intellectual) as to render the president incapable of discharging his duties in the interest of the country he "leads." ...
(8) A Congress that cared about the country would move to end this nightmare by impeachment & then conviction in the Senate. Likewise, a cabinet that did would operationalize the 25th Amendment immediately. But for tax cuts & the courts they will ignore all of it...
(9)...all while insisting it's black ball players who hate America because some among them take a knee to protest injustice. But see, when u criticize taking a knee over racism but stay silent while Trump takes a knee 4 a vile Russian tyrant, you reveal yourself. We see you.
