Channel One reports two B-52 bombers and refuel planes practiced in mid-July around Japan outside NK's SA-5 radar range. The bombers made abrupt turn East before Hokkaido to enter Sea of Japan, which is a vulnerable area for NK. Why, to squeeze NK?
Why is the east side of NK vulnerable? Because its long-range SA-5 radar in Wonsan covers at 110 angle downward so approaching from Hokkaido leaves it exposed. Per CO, B-52s usually practice south of Kyushu but on July 16, it climbed up the Archipelago
KC-135 Stratotankers from Okinawa trailed B-52s when their combat range is 9k miles w/o refuel. One refuel was performed. This implies B-52s were loaded to gills with bombs: i.e., this was a fully-loaded reality mission and had to refuel to return to Guam
These missions aren't publicized and the US doesn't bother to tell SK: need spies or contacts in Guam and Okinawa to find out. The mission may also reflect the lack of trust w/SK especially after the Panmunjom Declaration, with regard to joint exercises and military cooperation
Also on July 16, call signs for Mytee55 and Mytee56 which apparently left Barksdale AFB in Louisiana for Guam: Mytees are B-52Hs and the particular ones are under command of USAF Global Strike Command. Both SK and NK track and intercept military call signs
So are there 2 more B-52Hs in Guam or are they replacements: Global StrikeCom is under US StratCom, whose mission is nuclear deterrence. Some are confusing projection of military power with an actual dry run. This one prolly targets China more so than NK
