Swing Left is an organisation founded in the wake of Trump's election victory by Ethan Todras-Whitehill, Joshua Krafchin and Miriam Stone.

swingleft.org/about
Ethan Todras-Whitehill has worked as a freelance writer for The New York Times since 2004 for the Travel and Escapes section. Todras-Whitehill has also worked at Veritas Prep, Bill Smith Group, SmartyCard, Primedia Software-on-Demand and Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions.
In July 2018, Todras-Whitehill spearheaded an effort for liberal organisations to team up to flip the midterms blue, tying Swing Left, MoveOn, Indivisible, Organizing For Action, Latino Victory, United We Dream and the Working Families Party together.

I have spoken about Indivisible previously, in the context of the Reddit board Kotaku In Action.

By July 20, 2018, Swing Left had gained 400,000 members and over $9 million in donations, despite none of the founders being in politics until January 2017.

Michelle Finocchi also works as the chief marketing officer of Swing Left.

An early supporter of Swing Left was Anna Wintour of Vogue.

Back in December 2017, Opening Ceremony hosted a dance-a-thon for Swing Left, DJ'd by Mark Ronson, with Chloë Sevigny, Aziz Ansari, Phillip Lim and Natasha Lyonne attending the event. Amber Tamblyn hosted the event.

Other supporters of Swing Left include Jon Favreau, Adam Brody (who canvassed for Swing Left) and Kyra Segwick, who hosted a fundraiser for Swing Left at her home and made calls for them.

Todras-Whitehill was high school friends with Joshua Krafchin, who is married to the third founder, Miriam Stone.

Swing Left essentially allows you to volunteer to their program in a mailing list, so that you can volunteer to canvass for Democrats without them having to come to you and directly hire.

Which is probably why it has received a lot of support.

Donators to Swing Left include The Advocacy Fund, Onward Together, 5000 Broadway Productions, Propel Capital Network, George Soros (EVERY TIME) and Kyra Sedgwick.

The Advocacy Fund has apparently renamed itself Tides Advocacy, with their new website scheduled for August 2018.

*Checks calendar*

*It's August 2, 2018*

Where's my website at?

advocacyfund.org/about-us/
According to Wikipedia, The Advocacy Fund is directly tied into Tides, a progressive public charity which has existed since 1976, founded by Drummond Pike and based in San Francisco, CA and New York, NY.

You should know Onward Together.

5000 Broadway Productions is ran by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the actor who created Hamilton.

I have spoken about Lin-Manuel Miranda previously, in the context of Michelle Obama's "non-partisan" organisation When We All Vote, which he is involved in.

Propel Capital Network was co-founded by Jeremy Mindich and Sarah M. Williams, with Katya Levitan-Reiner, Magda Socha and Elisa Mateo-Saja as employees.

You already know George Soros.

Here is a photograph of him with Victor Pinchuk.

Swing Left

I'm not 100%, but Swing Left may be a partner of The Action Network.

Other Action Network partnerships include Daily Kos, National Education Association, Women's March, United We Dream and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.

Swing Left, as mentioned previously, are considered huge leaders in the progressive fight back against Trump / MAGA Agenda candidates.

In July 2017, Swing Left was in active partnership with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).

Swing Left also uses a concept known as "District Funds".

District Funds allow you to donate funds into it, where they are then kept until the next Democratic challenger for a House seat appears, and then they pass the money onto them.

ActBlue was already doing something similar to Swing Left, having started their own practice of "Nominee Funds" in 2004.

When Hillary Clinton announced Onward Together in May 2017 as a "resistance" effort, she also announced that Swing Left was one of the initial partners, alongside Emerge America, Color of Change, Indivisible and Run For Something.

edition.cnn.com/2017/05/15/pol…
Swing Left also has a relationship with the Democracy Alliance, which has existed since 2005 that has a portfolio including Media Matters and Center For American Progress. Democracy Alliance hired Archana Sahgal to focus on anti-Trump organisations.

In December 2017, Crooked Media, working with Swing Left, founded the Crooked 7 Fund, dedicated to unseating seven candidates: Jeff Denham, David Valadao, Stephen Knight, Ed Royce, Mimi Walters, Dana Rohrabacher and Darrell Issa.

Crooked Media was founded by Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett and Tommy Vietor.

Their hosts include Dan Pfeiffer, Ana Marie Cox, DeRay Mckesson, Ira Madison III and Jason Kander.

Apparently Swing Left hosted a protest outside of Trump's Tampa rally to try and stop Trump from choosing Florida's next Governor.

Something tells me Swing Left's organisation will not age well.

events.mobilizeamerica.io/swingleft/even…
According to Swing Left, they managed to raise $500,000.00 in 24 hours to unseat Republicans. This was on May 4, 2017, with a specific focus on unseating them because of the plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.

That'll do for now.
