Wrong. EU would be bound to treat the UK the same as any other country it trades with solely on basis of WTO provisions. This means, for example, that all UK exports of animal origin must enter EU via veterinary border inspection post; 20-50% subject to physical inspections.
Golden rule: anyone who points to trade facilitation agreement as a solution to Brexit either hasn’t read it or is banking on the fact that no one else will bother to read it.

Largely exists to bring transparency & predictability to customs procedures of developing countries.
a) Government’s own models put the benefits of new free trade agreements as negligible relative to losses incurred from Brexit, especially a WTO Brexit as proposed here.
b) Replacing existing EU free trade agreements is actually proving a little bit tricky
The annoying thing about this is I suspect @davidcollinslaw knows what he has written is misleading at best. Which makes me wonder why he is peddling such nonsense.
