A few observations on trans activism influenced by progressivism/Leftism.

Over the last day or so I have gotten the chance to witness, and confirm, a great deal of patterns in thinking and response.

It is relevant that I am not discussing trans people, but activists.
To begin with, we see an instantaneous set of confirmation biases and prejudices. Responders assume certain characteristics about me they believe invalidate my perspective entirely.

There is an assumption of malice. Regardless of what is said, it is believed to be hateful.
This immediate response is rooted in the progressive belief that disagreement is hatred. If you are not repeating the currently popular and approved dogma, using highly specific language, you are assumed to be motivated by mindless hatred, fear and intolerance.
Second is an accusation of ignorance. Progressivism has an historical pattern of believing it alone holds the true view of things alongside the liberal view that anything new is automatically superior.

The assumption is that the opponent is ignorant and therefore intolerant.
What is ironic, of course, is the lack of self awareness in accusing others of bigotry based on one's own intolerance for people who think differently than they do.

The popular dismissal of a view if expressed by a member of a different group reflects this bigotry.
Essentially, the people responding to me only read a tiny piece of my thread and instantly confirmed their own biases against who they believed me to be to validate their prejudicial view that I spoke from both malice and ignorance.
Rather than approach my argument with questions or their own perspective, they instantly viewed me as a type of person who hated them and they were free to hate back.

This accounts for the exaggerated hostility and aggression without engaging with me first.
Gender identity and transgenderism is a complicated and fluid set of discussions that requires analysis and debate.

Trans activists have taken the limited, hostile view that it has all been settled and only hateful, ignorant people would think to question it now.
To make matters more difficult, they embrace a tactic of dismissal and bullying, engaging in such aggressively hostile accusation, name-calling and rhetoric as to intimidate anyone who may have questions or thoughts from speaking up.
This topic needs discussing. Activists need to be tolerant and persuade rather than simply shout and accuse.

If you believe a person is mistaken, say so. But provide your reasoning. There is no purpose in accusing them of what you imagine they must think and feel.
The answer is not 'Only trans can discuss or define trans issues.'

Both sides can be polite and open.

But the point is that it must be discussed from as many angles as possible.
I also encountered an argument paradox in which a person disagrees with their own beliefs solely to oppose a specific argument.

Whether or not the assertion is accurate, the tactic is disingenuous. The trans activist movement appears unaware of itself beyond daily engagement.
To conclude I would say that a core issue here is a common counter-culture liberal arrogance pattern. 'You normies are so trapped in old outdated thinking you can't understand my new and superior way of thinking. I am educated and full of love and openness. You are obsolete.'
