Back in the UK and catching up on Barnier’s remarks from earlier today. He said literally nothing new. A Brexit deal unprecedented in scope has always been the offer — *but* within the EU’s red lines. Some of the market takes are absolutely wild.

A Brexit deal unprecedented in scope and within EU redlines could be EEA + customs union (very soft exit) or Canada-style FTA + add ons in areas like security (hard exit). But that’s always been the case. Barnier/Macron haven’t contradicted or evolved that position.
