Left: NY Times reports Dems "have been unable to muster much public outrage over" Kavanaugh.

Right: The broadcast evening newscasts gave the nomination 10 seconds of coverage (!) between the day he was named and last Wednesday. mediamatters.org/research/2018/…
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy: Journalists think Kavanaugh can't be stopped, and as a result his nomination receives virtually no coverage. mediamatters.org/blog/2018/08/3…
Remember that day last week when journalists were praising Ben Smith for saying that horse-race campaign coverage is bad? Horse-race judicial nominee coverage is also bad.
Kavanaugh on the bench would have a dramatic impact on the country. The public deserves to know what his confirmation would mean. Instead, we get tactical, amoral reporting on whether he has the votes.
Kavanaugh's public support is terrible -- even in light of minimal media coverage of his nomination
