Narrative Control & the OPTICS of the #Kavanaugh Hearing.
It's almost like the whole "let's bring a bunch of girls he coaches in basketball to the hearing for photo ops" was staged because they knew something bad was coming.
You can hear the PR narrative creation wheels turning.
This is how they spin their web of #NarrativeControl:
"That sexual assault thing was so very very long ago, he was just a kid."
"Buh he's a good dad now"
"I know, let's blame Diane Feinstein for this!"
"We *magically* had a letter READY TO GO in response to this news breaking." Um....okay, nice foresight ya got there....

It's amazing to me how much pushback I'm getting on this. So here's my response:
If you care more about having been RIGHT in 2016 & holding others' mistakes over them, than about having more Americans fighting corruption alongside you, you aren't focusing on doing THE RIGHT
THING for our nation, which is to heal our rifts, to welcome the people who are just now beginning to understand that trump is a fraud, a phony, and a mobster, and that they were FOOLED by him and our MEDIA failed to cover HIS FAILINGS.
Tribalism helps our enemies tear our
nation asunder.
Balkanization helps our enemies to destroy democracy. We need all the dragon we can get to fight the corrupt mobsters in the White House. Embrace the newly hatched dragons. Forgive them for their previous ignorance, or for being fooled by a massive Op.

He was asked several times about the name Bart. He was under oath & lied every time. Here is one example w his own letter next to his perjury

I'm a sociologist who studies adolescent sexual violence. On this thread, I will be live tweeting the #Kavanaugh hearing, chiming in with sociological insights and research findings.
Full disclosure--I will probably step away for parts of it. While many conservatives have cast feminists as people who rejoice at allegations of sexual assault against powerful men, this is a painful process for us. We know survivors. We are survivors. And I will need breaks.
It does not bode well that the beginning of this hearing is starting with equating #Kavanaugh and #Ford's experiences with harassment following Dr. Ford's allegations. They are absolutely not the same.
