Deadline for that period, according to withdrawal agreement, is end of 2020, but in truth that isn't enough time for soft or hard Brexit proposition so it'll somehow have to be extended.
And it'll go on and on forever, the same dull technical debate, the same crackpot, impotent nationalist temper tantrums, the same accusations of betrayal. Forever.
The stronger argument for cancelling this now, while we're still in the EU, is that it is by far the quickest way to stop talking about.
