Democrats: Trump should not declassify Russia investigation information, it could jeopardize sources and methods!
Translation: We don't want the American people to see how many times Steele was used as a source & how the FBI/DOJ used the media as a source.

Democrats didn't seem so concerned about sources and methods when they wanted stuff declassified that could fit their narrative. They even wrote the president requesting it be done on behalf of the American people. 
Most of the sources involved in what Trump is being asked to declassify are already publicly known such as Australian Ambassador Downer, Christopher Steele, and others. Them being unredacted wouldn't be earth shattering in jeopardizing sources/methods since everybody knows them.
What needs to be open to the public are the emails between Sally Yates, James Clapper, Loretta Lynch, James Comey, John Brennan, Bruce Ohr, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and others. Any of their email exchanges leading up to the investigation.
Some of those people may have never emailed each other, but they were caught into the loop of this mess leading up to it either by direct involvement or by being duped by subordinates leading them to believe there was credible evidence to start the investigation. There wasn't.
