the policing at these events was brutal and their motives were clear. they are there to protect white supremacists and intimidate & brutalize antiracists. i witnessed many of the arrests on aug 25 and sept 5GFJ
the arrests were violent. there was blood smeared on the door of graham memorial. one activist arrested in august was tackled, dragged to the ground in a choke hold. i know this because it happened not just in my field of vision, but on top of my body.
the night of august 30th, officers pepper sprayed peaceful demonstrators. the officer responsible has not been held accountable for his misconduct.
students and community members were hit with bikes. this video from august 30th shows an officer screaming orders to use the bikes as weapons. on september 8th, i saw cuts & bruises (some my own) from this same tactiflPb
